Can we use the GLS app to score non-league events and keep score for all players in the foursome?
Yes, you have the ability to enter a non-league live score for your entire group. When setting up your new live score, simply select the "Keep score for my group" option at the bottom, and you will be prompted to choose your playing partners. They will be notified after you submit for them to confirm the live scores you entered for them, while your score will automatically be confirmed without any further action.
Once groups have been created for an event, how do I cancel my signup?
If an event signup sheet is still open, players can remove themselves from it by clicking the "Remove me" icon next to their name on the signup sheet list. However, after the groups have been generated, a League Manager will have to remove that player by editing the group.
If a player does not show up for a event, how do we remove them from the group?
If a player does not show up for an event, a League Manager (LM) can remove them by editing the group. If this is not done before the group tees off, league members using live scoring on the app should uncheck the missing player's name before starting to score. An LM can then later remove that player by editing the group.
If a player has to drop out after 9 holes of play, how do we score the remaining holes?
In this situation the live scorer can do one of two things: (a) Recommended option: you can mark "X" for each of their remaining holes. To mark an X for a player on a hole, just hit the minus button repeatedly until you get the app to show a red "X". This effectively is saying the player did not finish that hole. The system will automatically handle the missed holes in the handicap calculation. (b) You can delete that player from live scoring. Just swipe right (from the left side of the player's name) on the app and a trash can will appear next to their name. Click it and they will be removed from live scoring
How do I change my login email and/or password?
To change the email address that you use for GolfLeagueSite, you first need to login. From your profile page, click the Edit Profile button on the page. This brings you to the Edit User Profile page where you can update a number of different fields. Carefully enter the new email address in the Email field and click submit to confirm the change. There are two different ways you can change your password. First, you could login and change it directly from your profile page (Edit Profile) -- very similar to how you update your email in the previous paragraph. Another way to change your password is to use the password reset feature from the login page. You need to be signed out to do this. Simply click the Reset Password link from the Login page and enter your email on the Reset Password page. When you click "Send Password Reset" the system will automate an email to your login email address and you'll need to follow the prompts in that email to set your new password. All passwords must be at least 8 characters.
